Step-by-Step Application Process
- Step 1: Create an account on France-Visas (france-visas.gouv.fr) — Complete the online application questionnaire to determine the correct visa type.
- Step 2: Complete the Cerfa application form — Fill out and print the appropriate long-stay visa form. Sign and date it.
- Step 3: Schedule an appointment at TLS Contact Morocco — Book a visa appointment at the nearest VFS/TLS centre in Rabat, Casablanca, Marrakech, Tangier, Fez, or Agadir.
- Step 4: Gather and organize all documents — Ensure all Moroccan documents are legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and translated by a traducteur assermenté.
- Step 5: Attend your visa appointment — Present all original documents plus photocopies. Provide biometrics (fingerprints and photo) at the appointment.
- Step 6: Pay the visa application fee — Long-stay visa fee is €99. Student visas may have different fees. Payment is made at TLS Contact.
- Step 7: Wait for processing — Standard processing time is 2-8 weeks. Do not make irreversible travel plans until the visa is confirmed.
- Step 8: Collect your passport with visa — Once approved, pick up your passport from TLS Contact or arrange courier delivery.
- Step 9: Validate your VLS-TS online — Within 3 months of arriving in France, validate your visa on the ANEF portal (administration-etrangers-en-france.interieur.gouv.fr).
- Step 10: Apply for titre de séjour (residence permit) — Before your visa expires, apply for a residence permit renewal at the local préfecture.
